Hi Lori, I'm down 132 lbs. so far. I started at 440 and I'm now down to 308. Good times! I feel incredible!

I've found that it takes me about 2 hours from waking up before I can eat breakfast. I've never been a big morning eater but my surgeon is a real stickler about eating breakfast. What works for me is to drink something warm shortly after I wake up - decaf tea, decaf coffee, sometimes regular coffee, depending on the day. Usually, by 8 or so, I'm able to eat.

Great tip Becky! I cannot face food first thing in the morning and prefer to wait a few hours to eat so I do a protein shake on my drive and that gets things primed for food a few hours later. Kathy

I still don't feel hungry very often. Sometimes I want something and can't quite figure out what it is. I start everyday with a protein shake. About 26gms of protein. I am not hungry when I drink it but drink it non the less. Eating breakfast is just something that has to be done whether you want to or not!

Jen, Thats true. But if you can't eat a single bite then its pretty hard to follow that rule. I mean I cant even drink water. Not that I dont want to eat or drink, I mean I think about food all of the time. Its just seems that my pouch is closed up until after lunch. Thanks Rosie

Rosie, My husband's surgeon said that is vary common. He said that overnight in some folks...post-nasal discharge and stuff will build in the pouch and that makes most people eat smaller meals for breakfast than at other times during the day. Do what you can! Eating early in the morning, gets your metabolism and digestive system up and working and that is very desirable. Kathy

I have the same problem, except I'm never hungry. I drink my protein drink every morning and then have lunch and dinner later on. I usually have one piece of string cheese as a snack between breakfast and lunch. I've always been a late eater though, but now I've had to stop that Take care, Ashleigh

Hey Ashleigh, It seems that at night is where I do my snacking. I try so hard to watch what I put in my mouth. I do eat frequently and I know I need to stop. I dont want to gain my weight back again. I am losing very slow and I'm afraid that I'm not going to lose any more. I know people that know people that had the surgery and they are always comparing me to them. They would say something like "so and so has lost so much weight she looks so good. How come you are losing so slow." Or "I dont really notice your weight loss" HELLO I've only lost 57lbs and am down a couple dress sizes. What do they want. Anyways I know that its my eating habits and my thyroids HAD something to do with the slow weight loss. I try to go back to basics. But my husband is in New Orleans and is trying to come back but due to the Rita hurricane it was delayed.so I have been nervous and eat out of stress. I do stop myself before I go to far. I have been excercising 5 x a week but I have'nt notice any difference so I kinda stopped. sorry so long Rosie
