Okay, I'm bored, and full of questions today... They kind of overlap with the questions on Kathy's last poll: 1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? 4. Do you measure your food? How often? 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy?

1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? My protocol is 3 4-oz meals plus a snack. Meals should be 2 oz of protien and 1 oz of fruit, veggie or starch (2 choices each meal). Snacks should be a fruit or veggie. I typically stick to this, although I often have 4 oz of protein in one meal instead of the 2, 1, 1 formula. I do try to get some fruits and veggies each day. Some days I have 1 snack, some days I have 3 snacks, some days I have none... 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? I'm averaging 50-70 g or so, a day. My nut said to aim for 55. Most days I hit this number. Sometimes, I drink a glass of milk at night to bring my level up. 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? I do count everything in Fitday. I broke down and spent the $20 for the home software and love it. Not only can I track my food, but I can track my weight loss and inches and pull nifty reports to show my Nut during my follow-ups. 4. Do you measure your food? How often? I don't measure my food much anymore. Maybe once every 2 weeks, just to make sure my eye-balling isn't getting out whack. I do use a salad plate at home, it makes it easier to eyeball, and at restauraunts, I ask for a to-go container as soon as my food comes. I separate out what looks to be the right amount an immediately put the rest in the container - this keeps me from "overpicking". 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy? Sigh... I dunno. Right now, I feel great. I have a lot more energy, can do a lot more, no problems in booths, plane seats, etc. I guess if this were it for me, I'd be okay with it, but I'd still like to lose another 30-50 pounds. I guess in the schem of things, that's a whole lot better than where I started.

I do good to eat 2 meals and maybe a snack. I am supposed to eat 3 small meals and 2 snacks/protien shakes. I am supposed to be getting 75 or grams of protein a day or more, but I no that I am not anywhere close to that. I don't keep track, bad girl I know. No I am happy with the weight I am at, but for my height 5'2" I am still considered obese, so I will continue to lose. Maureeniiiieee

1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? I was instructed to eat 3 meals a day and 2 protein supplements. I do 3 meals and 3 protein supplements (overacheiver, I am I very rarely snack on anything. 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? I get anywhere from 85-100 grams of protein from supplements alone. Then there is food. My meals are protein based. 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? Nope, I don't count my intake at all. I eat til satisfied. I probably can take in 3-4 oz of protein at each meal on most days though some days it seems like less fills me up. 4. Do you measure your food? How often? Nope. Not at all. 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy? Hard one to say. On one hand...my medical issues appear to be resolved so from that vantage point...I could be happy - that was my goal to get rid of the "bad" stuff. I'm in size 14 clothing which is a far ways from 24 or 3Xes. I feel that I look so much better. I move much better. Have more energy to do things. So in some ways, I feel like I could be reasonably content to stay here. Then on the other side...I'm only 20-30 lbs from my goal and it seems so very close now that I feel pretty confident that I'll get there in a matter of months if I just keep doing what I am doing. 1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? I was told by my doc to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. I try to follow these guidelines but I probably fall short 1 snack most days. 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? At this stage I should be getting 70-80 but on average I would guess I get between 50-70. I have a hard time with meat still. 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? Nope 4. Do you measure your food? How often? No, I eat and when my pouch says stop I do, sometimes this is more sometimes this is less. I do take much smaller portions though. 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy? No, being honest, while I am happy with what I have lost I did not have this surgery to remain obese.

1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? I am told not to have any snacks at all, but I do snack. Usually once or twice a day, s/f pops, crackers and cheese, something like that. 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? I usually get at least 70 grams, which is what they want me to have. 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? I keep track in my head, sometimes I use fitday, sometimes I journal. I am REALLY not good at keeping records, and I know they won't be happy about that. 4. Do you measure your food? How often? No 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy? Not after going through the surgery. Had I lost this much on my own I would.

1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks. Sometimes I consider it 5 meals or 5 snacks. LOL! I'm supposed to have 3 meals 2/3 snacks. I dunno how much I eat. I don't measure. lol 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? I don't keep up w/it which isn't good. Its so hard to w/school 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? Nothing, which isn't good but its hard bc of school 4. Do you measure your food? How often? Rarely, ouch not good either, only when i need to 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy? I would be happy for the loss I have but I'm still obese. I'd be grateful no matter what because God has brought me this far and if he wants I'll go further.

1. How many meals/snacks a day? How many are you told to have? How many do you actually eat? I usually eat 4-5 times/day depending on what times I eat. I will eat breakfast around 8:30 or so, then lunch around noon, then I'll eat a snack around 3-4 - if it's closer to 4, then I'll usually just wait until dinner (around 5), then I'll eat something else around 8. 2. How much protein are you getting on average? What did your doc/nut say you needed? My doc recommends 60/day, but I usually get in 80+ (my personal goal) 3. Do you count your intake? Keep a food journal? Use Fitday or something like it? I do sometimes, but usually I just try to make whatever I eat healthy so I don't worry too much about calories/etc. But, I do use fitday.com occasionally just to see where my calorie range is. I average (now) about 1000-1300 calories/day. 4. Do you measure your food? How often? I usually just eyeball it unless it's something higher in calories (like granola, nuts) then I will measure it. 5. If you never lost another pound, would you be happy? Not quite yet. Maybe in another 20-30 pounds I could say yes, but I'm not content wearing size 20/22/24 pants and 18 tops. I'd be content at maybe 14/16, but not where I am now.
