Neck/Back and Shoulder Pain

I had my surgery on May 16th and have lost 87 lbs as of today. I am feeling great except for major pain in my neck/upper back and shoulder. Has anyone else had this problem or any ideas of what it could be. I have an appt with a neurologist in about a week but was wondering if anyone else has been through it. Let me know. Thanks Heather

Nope, sorry. Haven't experienced that one, Heather. Maybe it's a pinched nerve or something. Hope you feel better soon. I do have a major pain in my butt from doing the Carmen Electra "Fit To Strip" exercise DVD. Julie

Yes, I have! I thought maybe it was from excersizing, or carrying luggage on my trip last month, but today I can't even lift my arm my shoulder is so sore. And my back has had weird pains, too.

I had it 1-2 months post. A coworker who had RNY as well told me it was gas because she had the exact same thing. I got some gas-ex chewables and it went away about half the time when using them. Maybe you can try those and see if it helps. This went off and on for about 2-3 weeks. Personaly I think if its not gas it may just be "shrinking pains".
