Just as I suspected...

I stayed home from work today because the UTI was getting outta control. I called the doc and was told to come in and do a urinalysis and they would prescribe something for me... I spent an hour and a half in the waiting room only so they could tell me what I already knew... I know, I know, they want to be sure, but I've had these many times before. Half the time, I don't even call them, I'm able to control them myself with water and cranberry juice... I didn't actually see the doc, just waited until the test was done and then they gave me a presciption. I'm not sure if they're able to differentiate, but I would SWEAR I have a kidney infection, as well. My left lower back is tight and sore like I pulled something, and I have sharp pains under my left rib cage... They're running a culture, as well, but that won't come back for a week. In the meantime, I'm trying to get even MORE fluids in and hope it clears up quickly. In the meantime, I'm bored outta my mind! I hate taking off work, but I feel really awful... On the plus side, I've had a pretty good weight loss week. I've got about 12 more pounds to go to get to onderland by my birthday in 2 weeks. Not sure if I'm gonna make it, but I'm gonna try! Sorry to hear that, Becky. I get UTIs a lot too. I love how they always act skeptical. Then again, I guess they HAVE to have something in the record, just in case it turns out to be more serious so they're "covered." Hopefully, it won't be a full on kidney infection. I always get the back pain/tightening with a UTI, so maybe it's just a more advanced infection this time... Congrats on your good weight loss week. I'm learning to accept these fluctuations in loss. Nothing much for two weeks, and then BAM 6 pounds over the course of a few days. I hope you reach your birthday goal. Hey Becky I just spent 2 hours at my OB GYN office to see my Doc for 15 min! So I know how you feel! She is the one who helped me so much in the early stages of preparing for my WLS so it was great to see her. But what a way to waste a day...ugh! Hope you feel better soon Jen

It's official, theres a but going around this May board...Michele, you, Kathy...and now I feel like crap...sinus infection I think + Aunt Flow I say all this to say...I feel like crap, and the thought of food is not appealing...maybe those 10 pounds have a chance!
