It must be a full moon somewhere...

I don't know how much of you spend time on the main boards, but I've been hanging around for a year and a half and it seems as if on some sort of cyclical basis, the moon comes out and the drama comes on... Lately, there's been so much.... disgruntled-ness... that's the only word I can think of to describe it. People bashing people by name, on and on. Posts getting removed because an innocent discussion gets taken out of context. People mis-reading or mis-interpreting other people's intent and making it something it's not... I don't really have a point, other than to say I'm glad OUR board is a safe haven from all the craziness and I love ya all for it! Becky

Hi Becky, It is a gift that we can be here for each other and have the freedom to be ourselves and share our struggles and find real kindness and support. I have observed some of the drama (from a distance) on the main boards and just step away from the controversy. One thing that seems true is that things 'in print' are often interpreted differently than intended. I don't know what the answer is but I wonder if folks would take a few minutes to re-read what they have written and ponder how it 'might sound' to the reader...maybe it would be less toxic. It does make me feel sad tho that a fourm of/for support can so easily become a slugfest. I thank and appreciate all of you who share your heart and give great feedback and kind support, it is a blessing and a gift to my heart and I am daily encouraged. M.
