Some of you know that I can not tolerate any solid foods!!!!! No meat, chicken, most cheeses, etc..... It's very hard to find food to eat. I'm living on soup, cottage cheese, applesauce and the like. But I did find some Quaker Instant Oatmeal packets that are called Weight Control. My WalMart only carries two flavors, Bannana Bread, and Cinamon. OMGSH - I LOVE THEM!!! They're high in fiber and low in sugar. I add a scoop of AnyWhey Protein powder and get 24grams of protein per serving!! This is the ONLY food I can actually eat an entire serving of too!!! When food is such a struggle It sure is WONDERFUL to find something that I actually like. Laurie - down to size 16 with only 3 more sizes to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The banana bread is AWESOME! I eat it all the time. I also mix in about 3-4 oz of lo-carb vanilla cream yogurt (instead of milk) and it tastes WONDERFUL!

This is gonna sound strange Laurie, but I think I liked it better when I couldn't tolerate much of anything. Now it seems to myself that I am overeating because I can tolerate more stuff or at least eating more times a day than I probably should. Of course, I am also on the dreaded period so I think my appetite has increased 10-fold. Well, anyway, I am happy that you found something you love!

Yes, Lisa I too will probably look back one day and long to not be able to tolerate much. But right now, it's so darn hard!! And to make it worse, I have no appetite at all!!!!! I could very easily good days with out eating one bite of food. I literally have to make myself eat, three times a day. I did do cashew, almond, raisins mixed together as a snack. I know they're high in fat and cals, but I need cals right now. I split it up into small servings and take them with me. I can eat that pretty good and haven't gotten sick from it yet. (crossing fingers) It's just one day at a time!!!!! Laurie

Laurie, I'm going to have to try that myself. I have not been able to tolerate ANY meat - chicken, beef, pork, - and now seafood is making me sick too. I'm getting my protein from cheese, dairy products, and beans. I'll have to try the oatmeal too. It sounds good! Thanks for the suggestion. Isn't it strange how our bodies change. Earlier, I could eat fish, shrimp, and any seafood. Now they make me sick. Eggs are also not working. Mealtime is a chore for me. I've been doing well with fresh fruits and vegetables but that doesn't help the protein issue. Jean

Jean - that is for sure. I can eat all the salad, veggies, and fruit that I want too!! I had a salad for dinner last night and added cheese but not enough to say I got in some protein. So for a snack last night I made the oatmeal and while it was dry I added in the protein powder, stirred it up well, then added in the boiling water. I couldn't tell the differenece between the regular and protein added!!!! It is weird how much our bodies change. I too used to be able to eat about anything (except seafood, I hate that stuff). I can't do eggs except in egg salad. I used to eat a lot of eggs, scrambled, omlettes, etc.. NOT anymore!!! But we'll get through this, and we'll come out looking HOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep you chin up laurie

AMEN! Thanks for the tip on the oatmeal. I'll have to check that out at my Wal-Mart. My food intolerance is gradually getting better. I'm also able to eat cashews and almonds mixed. I recently added scallops to my diet. I needed a change from the shrimp. I just sautee a few in a pan and voila..a seafood dinner. Yummy. I still try chicken occasionally, but it doesn't sit well yet...neither does fish or cottage cheese. Julie
