Huge moments

August 31st was my daughters 9th birthday. Well we celebrated on Sunday with a big family party. Since both my parents are gone the only family that she has is my ex hubbys. We planned a party at my ex mom in laws house. Some of the people that were there had not seen me since before my surgery. The look on their faces made it all worth while. My ex mom in law could not stop hugging me and saying how awesome I looked. The neighbor did not recoginize me and asked me out. Sister in law kept looking at me and going wow. And the best out of all of it was my ex hubby. He asked if he could talk to me outside alone so I did. He told me that I look better than he has ever seen me look. He also said that even without the weighloss there is a glow about me. He made it a point to tell me that if I was not with current hubby that he would have to make a try for me again. Not trying to be mean, but I made it clear that I wasn't interested. It was a huge moment for me. At 15 weeks out, I am still battling why I have done this. Sunday was a huge step in helping me sort things out. It was her 9th birthday. With this surgery, if they ever get all the issues fixed, I should make it to see her 19th or 29th, or 39th. Kat, I'm sorry you're still dealing with so many problems. Hopefully, when you go in next week they'll be able to nail it down once and for all and get you taken care of. But, I'm so happy you had this great experience this weekend! What a boost, huh? Keep that in mind in the days ahead as they work to solve your complications! Becky

Hi Kat, Happy for you that you got such good feedback at the party from everyone on how great you look. It must have felt wonderful. Especially your ex's drooling. Read your profile to see you have been really suffering. Just wanted to say how sorry I am for your trouble and I'll be praying the doc's can quickly relieve your health issues. Hang in there.
