Woe is me....
I dont want anyone to tell me to drink more water, walk more or eat more protein. Im simply venting.........
I HAVE NOT LOST ONE FRIGGEN POUND IN OVER 6 WEEKS!
Although I am happy for all of you that have lost 100 lbs in 3 months and for those of you that are under 200 lbs, I am very sad that my body hasnt done anything in over 6 weeks.
I lost 38 lbs in 2 months and since then.......I havent lost ANYTHING! NOTHING! ZERO! NADA!
Im so pissed off I cant stand it.
Doc says Im fine, nutritionist says eat more! WTF!
Thanks for listening.
Carrie
Carrie,
Your nutritionist could be right. You body has a point where your caloric intake isn't enough so your body holds onto weight for fear of starving. I'm not kidding. That point varies by person.
How many cals are you eating a day? How many grams of protein?
I had a short stall (2 weeks with .5 of a pound movement up and down, up and down). I upped my protein intake and added another protein supplement and have been moving since. My body needed more.
Post a typical day's menu and we'll see if we can offer suggestions to get you going again!
Hugs, Kathy
Carrie,
I won't tell you to walk more, eat more, drink more, or anything like that. Just wanted to give you ((((((HUGS))))) and tell you I can hear how frustrated you are. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this, I know I would feel the same way.
Keep perservering, it will come. Until them, even though I'm sure it's hard to read about other successes sometimes, stick to the boards for support. We're all here for you.
Becky
I just wanted to send you a big hug! I know how frusterating it is when the scale doesnt move. I hope you feel a little better now that you have vented some! We all go through the period of no loss, and I am sure that you will bounce back and shed like 10 pounds overnight! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it happens!
Keep your chin up!
Kathy
Thank you everyone for your kind words and for letting me vent.
Im getting on avg 800 calories a day.
60-90 g protein
45-70 oz of fluids
I keep my fats down to a minimum and eat more fresh veggies and fruits.
Im not doing anything wrong. I am a diabetic and have gone back on my insulin to see if that will help start the weight loss again. I have been drinking a protein shake more a day (well the CIB with dry milk), so thats giving me extra calories and protein.
Like everyone says, my body is just adjusting but Im sure many of you can agree....if you didnt lose anything for over 6 weeks you would be horribly upset also. Since surgery I have only lost 38 lbs.
Im going back to bed. Thanks for listening.
Hey Carrie, I was just thinking... Why don't you post this to the Main message board, or earlier surgery date boards, January, February, something like that? I'm sure that there's others who have expereinced what you're going through and maybe they can give you some encouragement that it will get better...
Just a thought...
Becky
((((Hugs))))))
I'm so sorry things are so rough for you right now. I'll try to send the weight losing angels to you! =0) (Hope that made you smile). You are right, if I hadnt lost weight in 6 weeks, I would be freaking. I wouldn't know what to do. Just keep doing what you are doing. Your body should get the idea and you'll drop a bunch of weight fast.
Are you measuring yourself? Maybe you are losing inches?
*hugs*
Ashleigh
Carrie, I'm not going to tell you to walk more, drink more or get more protein in either, because I am almost in the same boat as you. I have been between 226 and 227 on the scale now for about 3 weeks now and it isn't going anywhere. I was going to the gym 4 days a week and switching between weights/cardio and water aerobics, getting in my 64 + ounces of water and 60 grams of protein a day, and my scale is still not moving. I was almost tempted to take it back to the store the other day and tell them that I wanted to return it because it was broke, it wouldn't let me weight less then 226 lbs, but I figured some little barbie doll working behind the desk would probably have some smart a&& comment back and didn't want to hear it from her.
So don't worry, you aren't the only one the scale isn't moving on, glad you posted this so that I know I am not the only one that feels like kicking the scale to the curb.
