Isn't it weird how there are random comments made to you in your life that you know will stick with you forever? I remember when I was about 16 I asked my mother if she thought I was pretty. She said, "Honey, you're pretty, but if you lost the extra weight you'd be gorgeous." That comment (among others from other people over the years on various subjects) will stick with me for life. The odd thing is, my mom and I have a GREAT relationship.. that's the ONLY thing she's ever said to me that was anything like that, and she doesn't remember saying it. But I certainly do.

Oh, I'm familiar with that one too. "You have such a pretty face...but..." That still haunts me. Made me feel inferior. Like I wasn't good enough because of my weight. My mother meant well...

Must have something to do with the sugery date....cause things have definitely looking up for me in that area too.....wayyyy up. For the first time in a long time I'm feeling good about myself and I feel attractive..maybe that's the secret to attracting men but the bad part is.....I can hardly afford to drive to work these days much less drive to have fun

Heather, It's definitely the surgery date . And yes you are right, when we feel good about ourselves...others take note as well. Girl, you ain't never lie about the price of gas...it is horrible. I have all my dates meet me at Applebee's (less than 2 min from my house) I know the servers are probably like..."what is up with this chick"
