Had my 3 month check

and I have lost 60 LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohooooo! I was told I am not eating enough. I only get about 500 calories a day. I need 600-1000? THat seems like a lot. I was wondering how many claories you all get? HOw about protein? DO you do protein drinks?? THanks, kym

Hi Kym Congratulations!! I know you feel great! I am down 50lbs. I drink a protein shake everyday for breakfast. I choose from 4 different to not get to bored. They have about 28-30 gm protein and it really jump starts my day. There is nothing worse than realizing at 6pm you still need about 40+ gms of protein. Sometimes I drink one at night. I don't know how many calories I consume but my basic menu is B- Protein Shake (28g) S-Low Carb Yougurt Smoothie (14g) L- 3-4 oz tuna (21g) S- string cheese (7g) D- Morning star veggie burger - several differnt varieties (12g) That is 82gms of protein. I don't count fat or carbs just stay low. Hope this helps! Jen 243/193/135

Hey Kym, I try to do at least 1 protein shake a day...I used to use them as a meal supplement, but since my hunger came back at about 3.5 months, I'm using them as a snack. A good day will have me see about 800-1000cal, a high stressful day filled with grazing has had me at about 1200... hopefully those days are over. So about 800-1000 cal a day and 60-80 g protein is what I was told to shoot for...

Kym, I do the occasional protein drink or bar now. I've been able to get the protein I need from food. I keep track of everything in fitday.com. I eat about 900-1200 calories a day. According to my nutritionist that is where she wants me exactly. Lori 384/313/170

Reading all these posts has me nervous...my nutritionist has told me not to go under 1200 calories, that under that is starvation mode...but you all seem so much under that, I am nervous. Ellen

Kym~ Congratulations on your weight loss. I do 2 protein drinks per day. Yesterday, I had about 850 calories, 96g of protein. This is a little higher than normal for me, as I'm usually getting about 600-750 calories. I am told not to count calories at all though, just protein. It's hard not to, though. Julie 391/291/170
