Hey guys I've been experimenting lately. Trying to get to know my body all over again...Been making some bad choices lately...and freaking out because I feel hunger again. I had been trying 6 small meals daily...wasnt working - never felt satisfied...and ended up grazing. Well, for the past 2 days I have been eating 3 large meals (as large as a WLS pt can get) and its working! Today I had a lowfat blueberry muffin (homemade with splenda and skim milk 2.25oz) and for lunch I had a chicken filet with cheese (about 3/4 of a 6oz filet) Anyway I feel sooo satisfied, and I haven't snacked. Tonite I'll have dinner, and a protein shake before bed. I'll let you know how it goes...have a great weekend!

Aliya, My surgeon recommends eating six times a day too... and I find that I just can't eat that often. Or if I do, I make bad choices (things that either aren't healthy or just don't agree with my pouch). I switched to eating three meals a day, and it was working a lot better.. but now I'm pretty much never hungry (I posted about that right above yours.) It seems really difficult to find a system that works for YOU, that you know you can stick with over the long haul. I'm happy that you seemed to have found a solution... best of luck! Jasmina

Aliya I also try to eat 3 "normal" meals and a shake at bedtime. I just can't figure out how you could get all the protein if you don't have a shake once a day. Morningstar makes some great veggie/protein burgers that seem easily digestable and are high protin, low carb, low fat. I just pop them in the toaster and then add a little cheese. I can eat the whole patty, but I cant eat a whole hamburger patty. Jen

Good for you, Aliya! I'm glad you're finding things that work for you. I wish I could be that brave. I guess sucking it up and going for something experimental to find things that work for your own body is much wiser than my method of doing something "off the plan" and feeling immensely guilty afterward.

Hello Aliya and fellow mayers I found a great way to get my protein down. I put a scoop in my coffee in the morning with a little spenda and it is great. I actually have 2 or 3 cups and my dietitian said that would be fine (I don't eat breakfast) I think of it as a special coffee. Hope that it helps someone. good luck
