Pounds are just Pounds
I know that I have never been completely successful or true to a program for 3 months before. Sure I have lost the same 20-50 lbs time after time and even successfully lost 60lbs over 1 year on WW. But I did cheat and I didn't always write it in my little diet journal. And the pounds came back.
So when people on every board on this site complain about not losing enough or fast enough it makes me sad. I have lost 49lbs in 3 months. Could I do better, I don't think so. I eat my protein (80-100gm/day) drink my water and exercise.
I have never been so faithful to a plan in all my life. I just want everyone to be as happy as I am about their loses.
Ask yourself
1) Have I lost weight?
2) Do my clothes fit better?
3) Do I have more energy?
4) Do I sleep better?
5) Do I feel better overall?
I know I can say YES YES YES. If I had only lost 39 lbs I would still say Yes. Be good to yourself and don't use everyone else as a judge of how you are doing.

Jen,
I couldn't agree more with ya.
I've lost 44 lbs since surgery and a total of 76 lbs including my pre-op weight loss. That's 76 lbs in 6 months. Yes, some folks have lost that in 3 months - but that's them and I am me.
I have tons more energy. I now take no diabetic meds or blood pressure meds. I no longer need a CPAP machine. I feel great.
And the weight is still coming off.
The most I've lost on a continuous diet was about 67 lbs or so - thus I have already exceeded that. I'm at 200 lbs and at the doorstep of the Onderfuls. C'mon scale - toss me a bone! LOL! I'm only 34 lbs from the Century Club and only 44 lbs from my goal. What more could I ask for?!

Hey Jen,

Holla if ya hear me! I totally agree with what you are saying. I must admit, althougth I can answer yes to all of your questions, I can say that I have also second guessed myself. Bottom line is, I'm no and there have been weeks when I have not exercised and or made healthy food choices...Thanks for the perspective...I see the light. You can't beat 64 pounds in 3 1/2 months...Thats the most weight I have ever lost, and I'm grateful!
