83 lbs
I have only lost 83 lbs since my surgery on May 2nd. Does anyone think I should have lost more by now? I can eat pretty much whatever I want. I feel like some things should make me sick or something. I almost wish something would make me sick. I dont feel like I had surgery at all. I was able to wear a pair of jeans yesterday from before pregnancy so that was totally awesome.
Any ideas for massive hair loss. My hair is falling out like crazy. Is it ever going to stop?
83 lbs is great.
My hair is fleeing too. It will stop and start reversing itself. I promise. Been there, done that before after a larger weight loss.
The condition is called telogen effluvium and there isn't anything to do about it. Your hair will probably look thin for a couple of months and then new growth will start back up.

I had my surgery 2 days after you and I am down 65 pounds. I think your 83 is great! I'm with you on being able to eat almost anything. I wish more things would make me feel sick. However, this week I had a bout with nausea and could only stand to get 1-3 bits in at a meal. This is the first time its happened, but I think its over now.
I started at 370 and the last time I weighed in a little over a week ago, I was at 287. I will be so happy with another 100lbs. For now, I just want to be down to 250 by my 6 month appt in November. I feel good. I have noticed that some people dont recognize me anymore. I love the attention of people telling me how good I look and how well I am doing. I hadnt seen my sons dad in a couple years and he saw me about 2 weeks ago and was so shocked. Now he wants me back and I am telling him to get lost. Its nice to be able to do that. I do admit that I need to exercise more than I am. I want to go to a gym but I have such a self confidence issue that I am not comfortable yet with going to a gym. All in all, I feel great. I keep telling myself, I will keep losing that I am not that far out yet.
Melodee,
I had surgery on 23 May and I'm down 72 pounds. You're doing great! Congratulations!
I'm also experiencing hair loss. I have short, fine, blonde hair and have really notice the "shedding" the last 2 weeks. I sympathize with you because I don't have any answers either. I've been told it will grow back but I want to know WHEN!
My doctor said he hasn't seen anyone go bald, but thinning of the hair does happen.
