Feel like crap!!
Laurie, I know what you are going through, I have been going through it myself. I talked to my surgeon's office and they had me go to my PCP to have an ultrasound done on my gall bladder. Come to find out that I do have gall stones. I don't meet up with the surgeon till next Thursday and then we will decide from then as to whether he is going to go ahead and take it out or what, I am hoping, maybe watching it just for a little while. I just want it to be something else and that they don't have to do surgery, or maybe do some other kind of treatment without the surgery to get rid of the gallstones. When I had the ultrasound they checked my gall bladder, kidney, spleen, pancreas and intestines. If you haven't had one done, maybe see if your PCP can do one to maybe at least eliminate that or if that is what the problem is, then you know what to do about it. I know its not fun eating something one day with no problem, and then the next time you try it you get sick. I get to where I just sit there at work with my head in my hands cause I can't really do anything about it for about 15-30 minutes at least, till it passes, a few times I have even left work cause it didn't go away.
From my personal experience, when it comes to whole meats, like chicken breasts, or pork or the such, eat them with a wet product. I have a small problem with chicken by itself, especially if its greasy at all. I have 2 suggestions, 1st is try dipping your chicken into, mustard, or a sugar free vinigerett (spelling). the second is try eating it as a part of salad, skip the mashed potatoes. I have found i handle my meats well when they are apart of a salad with a good sugar free salad dressing. The more dry our food is the more our pouches dislike it. Since we are not really supposed to drink for 30 min before or after a meal eating meats with a sauce, fat free gravy or the likes, makes a world of difference.
Laurie, Feel greatful for the 1 or 2 meals per week you can enjoy. I have yet to get to that point. I hate to eat. Nothing settles well. Everything hurts when I eat it, no matter how small it is.
I had a stricture for weeks, they have opened it but I still feel like I am going to be sick with every meal. I am 13 weeks out and have just this week been able to get 60 or more oz of fluid for more than 1 day at a time. They have done the sonogram and there is nothing physically wrong, I am just one of the ones that it is not going to be easy for. This week has been the best so far. I have only gotten sick twice since Friday and both of those were last night.
I do find that if I am stressed the pain is worse. So I have taken to eating dinner after the kids go to bed and all is quiet. Not a great time to eat, but atleast I keep something down that way..
Hugs to you, I feel your pain.
