Fun with "math"?????
I sometimes try to have fun with "math" to try to measure my own progress.
I started at 276 with a goal of 160. That's 116 lbs total to lose.
Pre-op, I lost 32 lbs which meant that I was down 27.5% of my excess weight by my surgery day on 05/20/05.
On surgery day, I was 244 lbs. That left me with 82 lbs to lose. I have lost 41.5 lbs since surgery 12 weeks ago. So, out of the post-op lbs I want to lose I have almost lost 50% of them. Wow!
Overall...I'm down 73.5 lbs out of 116 lbs to which means that I've lost 63.3% of my excess weight! With only 42.5 lbs to go...
I'm only 26.5 lbs to the Century Club and only 3 lbs to the Onderfuls!
See...fun with math and the perspective by which you look at things. Whodda thunk that numbers could be so much fune!

Okay, that settles it... You're certifiable... Anybody who does math for fun is just nutty...
Nevermind the fact that I used to LOVE calculus in HS... I blame that on temporary insanity brought on by mega-doses of estrogen...
Congrats on being so close to the Century Club AND the Onderfuls all at once, though...
You know what the sickest part is? Now I'm playing along!!!
I started out at 287 and am down to 226. I've lost 21% of my total weight in about 12 weeks.
My goal weight is a moving target (140ish) but for this I used 145. That means I had 142 lbs to lose from start. I've lost 61, which is 43% of my excess weight. 10 more pounds and I've lost 50% of my excess weight.
Geez, Kathy, whaddya doin' to me???
Ooooh, I love math!!!
Let's see...so far I've lost 25% of my body weight since my pre-op weight.
My goal is to be down 96 pounds and I'm about 56 pounds down already. So I've lost 58% of my excess weight!! Woo hoo. That was fun!
I don't think I'm supposed to join the century club...at least that's not my plan...but ya never know!!! I'm down 56 pounds in 3 months (My 3 month goal was 60 pounds but hey what's 4 pounds). My next goal is to be in the 150's by my son's 1st bday party 3 weeks from today. The last time I weight 150ish was on my wedding day 8 years ago!
