To date I've lost 59 pounds - some if it was preop, but I'm still counting it! You all have done a great job. Hugs, Tracy 303/244/130

Tracy, Oh heck yes you should count every pound! If it wasn't for WLS you wouldn't have started losing and kept it off, so YES it counts! Great Job! Keep up the good work! Deanna

Sorry it took me so long to post, I have been away from the computer for a few days. At my 1st pre-op appt on the 3rd of May I weighed in at 490, then at my 2nd pre-op due to reschedule, I weighed in at 445, so that is 45lbs lost forever. Had surgery on 05/31, I have been weighing on the drs scale and a scale at a nursing home. The 2 scales differ, I believe the nursing home scale weighs me in more. Last weight on that scale was 420. So that is 25 lbs since surgery. pre-op 45 +++ post op 25= total weightloss drum roll please 70 lbs. I have been feeling pretty well, some what of an emotional roller coaster due to slow weight loss post-op. I do get sick about twice a week. No sure the cause. My clothes are starting to get loose. I do have much more energy and capable of do more than I used to. It feels great when peolpe that haven't seen me for some time, walk up to me and say that I am looking great. No regrets here, I do sometimes forget to eat also, get so busy, especially now with school coming and doing all the shopping. I hope that maybe I can lose 20 lbs in the next 3 weeks. Therefore I would be at 400 for my 3 months post-op appt. Congrats to everyone keep up the good work. Slimming Spud (Wendee) 490/420/200 someday

Hi Deanna - Sorry my post is so late, but I wanted to include my numbers with everyone elses. I am just over 3 months post-op and I have lost 45 pounds so far. I had a stricture at 4 weeks post-op and my body went in to starvation mode, so after a long plateau. I have finally started losing again. Yea! I had to have my stricture dilalated again on Friday, but I caught the problem much earlier than the first time so hopefully I will keep on losing. I am so pleased with everything in my life at this point even with the minor complications of the stricture. I feel soooooo much better than before my surgery. Thanks for the post! It is encouraging to read about everyone's struggles and SUCCESSES! Kimber

I don't often post. Most of you won't know me but I wanted to put in my 2 cents. I weighed 277# back in April for a check up with my Dr. The day of surg. I weighed 274#. My husband stole my scale so I can only weigh weekly. My last weight was 8/10 and I weighed 230#. So that is a loss of 47#. I am eating pretty well what ever I want, only in far smaller quantites. I don't think I have ever had a true dumping episode. My pouch gets upset at times but I accomadate accordingly. Have a great day fellow Loosers!!

I had my surgery on May 18, 2005. I weight 371.6 on the day of surgery and 284 this AM. I have lost 87.6 pounds. I feel incredible. The only thing is I don't really care about food. I am still eating yogurt, jello, pudding, cottage cheese, cheese. Meat and eggs make me sick. I drink two protien shakes a day. My doc says no problem and I don't care as long as its OK. My goal is to weigh 130.......let's see. Judy

Here's a really late addition just to count me in... I was 338 pre-op. 328 on my surgery date May 16th. Lost 20 pounds within the first few weeks and have since hit 3 major plateaus. I FINALLY hit the -50 post-op weight today!!....278. Have been hovering around 283-281 for almost 3 weeks! Don't know why...haven't been cheating etc. Have started back to Curves and my energy is coming back. I need to get more protein each day...especially when I see how well you all are doing....maybe that's why I've been stalling. Have my first post-op blood tests tomorrow....on my 3 month anniversary. Hope all goes well. Good luck to all the May crowd. I don't often post, however i always enjoy reading your comments, questions, answers and supportive comments. Sandy 328/278/170
