Stop Feeling Guilty!!!

I have talked to alot of fellow WLS friends and some talk about how they feel guilty when they eat the wrong kind of food or feel they ate too much. Listen, we went through alot to get our lives back and be healthier, but that doesn't mean that we are not going to occasionally eat that sinful food or maybe indulge a bit too much of something, WE ARE STILL HUMAN. The bottom line is, we are aware of what we need to do and if we indulge a bit, then so be it, just do better the next meal or the next day!

I agree with you. I thought of feeling guilty because I dont count my calories or carb intake but the more I read on here the more I dont feel the guilt I have lost 70lbs. and that seams to be about even with everyone else that has had surgery in May. I do 2 protein drinks aday, get in over 64 oz of fluids that includes my protein shakes, vit-3times a day, and I make sure that my meals I eat protein first. I have 2 to 3 snacks a day depending on if I am hungry. I love the Sorbee sugar-free cookies (chocolate Fudge)only 15 carbs or people counting and 110 cal-50 from fat calories. Great for that time of month and you crave the choc. I dont feel guilty for eating the cookie either.

Lisa, you're so right. We have to remember that we had this surgery so that some day we can be "normal" (whatever that means!) and "normal" people sometimes eat french fries or a cookie, or make not-so-great choices. The key is, they make great choices MOST times. Just by recognizing our choices and evaluating them and continuing to improve, we're all doing a great job!

No self-flatulation here. Oh wait...flatulation as in flatulence. Ummm, yea, there is some of that. I mean no self-flagellation, here! I make decisions and stick by them. Kathy
