Hungry?
TOO Weird....
I just came back from vacation where I didn't stop long enough to eat or drink right... This week I am having hunger and cravings... I assumed it was because my body was deprived last week. Maybe it's just time to start wanting food again.... I'm back to packing everything for the day, so I'm ok on the "what", but I just had breakfast at 7:30 edt and I'm hungry 2 hours later. I'm trying to hold back the hunger monster with CL and I bought some beef jerky for the protein/chew boost.
Hope everyone is still on the loosing team.

I havent been hungry for a few weeks. I have been eating when I think about it and making a conscious effort to get in all my nutrition.
Everyone should ask their doctors about how the stomach/pouch stretches. If it can, how it can, when it can. I think it will put your mind at ease knowing that really the only way you can stretch your pouch out is to constantly and consistently overeat to the point of vomiting. And, you would have to do this every day for months on end.
The stomach is soft tissue, its going to grow with time so its important to realize that in time (even just 2-3 months) our tummies are going to grow therefor we will feel more hunger and be able to consume more. Dont freak out! Its all good...............
Jane,
I was hungry for the first time since my surgery yesterday. It was weird! Today, I'm drinking green tea and haven't been hit with the hunger monster. I'm hoping this isn't going to be consistent, as it has sure been easy for me doing this way of eating when hunger has been absent! I thought hunger returned in 12 to 18 months, that this is our window of opportunity???? What gives?

Hi, Jane - I'm one of those rare birds that got hunger pangs almost from day one. Okay, maybe it was more like 1 week, but I did definitely (and still do) feel hunger and get the (per Pooh) rumbly in my tumbly. Not the rumbly gas that we get rolling around, but the actual in the pouch rumbly hunger. Yeah, I was hoping I'd be one of those that 'forgot to eat' but alas, not so. Every 3-1/2 to 4 hours (unless I eat something pretty heavy) I get it, so I eat something. I try to eat 4 times/day (a.m., lunch, dinner, and an evening snack) and have a protein drink between lunch and dinner and my evening snack is USUALLY a smoothy.
