Hi Everyone First off.. I'm doing a tad better. Down 54lbs since early May. Can't beat that. My blood tests said my pottassium is too low. Dr. wants me to drink GATORADE. Tastes WAY yummy, but doesn't it have too much sugar???? Shannon in WI -54

Shannon, I drink Gatorade and do just fine with it...If you start to dump or feel sickish, just back off it for awhile. As long as you drink in moderation you should be fine!! Becky May 17th, 2005 -57lbs!!

Right out of surgery my doc said I could do half water/half Gatorade. It didn't taste great but it went down just fine. Recently I was at a pool party. I brought my own bottles of water but because of the heat I drank it all quickly. The only thing they had to drink there was beer, soda, Capri sun and gatorade. I sipped and sipped on the gatorade and all went well. I know some who are sensitive to sugar can't handle it. But if your Dr says drink it, drink it. The salts helps out when your dehydrated. Oh, what about Propel???? It is made by Gatorade and has all if not more minerals/vitamins like potassium? They have lots of yummy flavors; I like grape the best. I think Propel is way lower in sugars then Gatorade.

Saw the surgeon yesterday. He said Gatorade would cause dumping. I've had it... and I don't THINK I've had dumping. I'd know wouldn't I?? But I swtiched back to water today. I don't think Propell has the potassium like gatorade does, but it does have a lot less sugar. Shannon in WI -54lbs
