I had fried rice and did just fine. Also ate some spicy chicken and that was fine too, Just be careful of the sweet stuff too much and I fear the dumping syndrom. Good luck.

I just had some last night! I had egg drop soup with a couple won tons in it, the insides of a spring roll and the insides of some pot stickers, it all went down ok. The waitress remembered me from my lunch buffet days, guess she was wondering why the heck I was eating so little, lol. Cary

Might want to skip that one. Think that has alot of sugar in it! Sorry! Kathy

I looked this up on the Internet and thankfully, the prevailing recipe for this calls for 3 tbsp sugar for 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. of chicken which isn't much. I went ahead and got it last night. Could only eat about 3 good size chunks of it, but it was good! Thanks for the warning though. Its good when we can look out for each other like that.

Wow! Glad to know the recipe wasn't as sugar-ladened as I thought. Good for you for looking it up though I'm sure different restaurants have different variations of the recipe. So, how'd it taste? Did it meet your expectations? We decided on Indian food last night. OMG, good! Had chicken tikka masala (skipped the rice) and some tandori mixed grill (shrimp, chicken and lamb). The lamb was butter texture. Excellent. Got leftovers. I still find that we have the "get multiple entrees" mentality when in actuality - both being post-ops...one entree would suffice and sometimes even then we have a bit left on the plate when both reach the point of happy pouches. LOL! One problem here was wanting to "try" multiple tastes. Nothing will go to waste but it is certainly much more economical to order one entree and two. We are indeed cheap dates! Glad that the food worked well for you! It is amazing at how little you eat isn't it? Yet your tastebuds are happy especially since you have to chew alot and you get to actually really taste the food for extended periods of time. That was a truly eye-opening revelation to me. Wow, this is what I've been missing by gulping down my food?!? LOL! Have a great one! Kathy

It was good, but not as good as I remembered. I have found that very little tastes as good to me now as it did then. This surgery has diminished my love of most foods, in some cases significantly (such as mac'n'cheese - a pre-op favorite).
