happy to meet you all!!
Welcome to the group Lisa!!
I had my surgery May 6th starting out at 310 pounds on my 5"2 body. I have worked out at the pool since week 2 post op and have lost 92 pounds so far. I Love to swim and went to the library and read up on Water Aerobics and have become addicted to it. I hit the pool from 8-10 every morning and 8-10 at night. If I dont go I feel like something is wrong. I cant believe how much energy working out gives me. No matter how tired I am when I leave the house, when I get into my routine at the pool the energy comes back.
I am 44 years young, a divorced mom of 4 ( son 13, daughters 17,19,20 and a grandson 16 months old) Having the surgery was the best thing I ever did in my life. I feel better now than I have in years. My Blood pressure is normal without meds, Sleep Apnea is gone, no chest pains from the Cardiomyopathy. I feel so blessed that I was able to have the surgery and plan on living another 44 years at least.
Good Luck on your weight loss!!
Hugs,
Laura
Hi Loraine!
I love swimming also. I don't take water aerobics professionally, but I have made up some of my own exercises in the pool! I too am feeling so great. My husband and I are heading out this morning to go over to Waterfront Park in Louisville to rent those Bicycle built for two carriages so we will be getting some good exercises, and having some fun also! Then I am sure we will be heading for the pool, it is going to be a hot one today! Keep up the great work girl!!
Hey Lisa,
I too have been reading all the posts and not joining in....congratulations on your 62 lbs gone forever. I find myself drawn to the May board more than the regular one recently because I know everyone is in the same stage as myself....I hope we hear more from you and I too will try and pipe in here and there.
