Feeling GREAT!!
Dear May Surgery Buddies,
I am now a little over 9 weeks out and today I joined CURVES! Anyone else out there join Curves? At 50 years old, I needed a gentle workout, and this program is perfect for me. BUT the really GREAT NEWS is that I am down 53 pounds now!!!! I still can't believe it myself! I need to repost pixs so everyone can see that I really do have features! LOL!
I did have "issues" with slow weight lost, but as time passes, and that happens all by itself, the slow weight lost has piled up to 53 pounds! I am so thrilled, and I know that it will continue now that I am exercising. I still have difficulty with eating the right stuff, protein is just so hard, it feels like a "foot" in my pouch! But thank God for the protein shakes! But each day things have gotten better and better. I still have moments of low blood sugar feelings and run for the shakes....but all in all, I feel great and would have the surgery again tomorrow if I had to!
Here's hoping all my May Buddies are doing wonderful! God Bless you all!

I am glad that things are going so good for you! You're right, time goes by, and the weightloss get bigger and bigger. If you can manage to keep it off your mind, not weigh yourself daily - it just happens - and it's great.
I understand what you mean about protien feeling like a "foot" in your pouch, I often have the same problem and sometimes think I will never eat normally. Protien drinks are just easier, no discomfort. Do you ever worry about NOT getting enough calories now that you are working out at Curves?
I know that alot of folks don't think Curves provides enough of a challenge in the long run but I beg to differ. I went there a couple of years ago and firmly believe that as you get fitter...you can push yourself quite hard on the machines and at the cardio stations to continue to get an excellent work out!
Congrats on your 53 lbs - that's awesome!

Congrads my fellow Floridian !!! Isnt it great the scale goes down and not up !! I am still amazed by it.I have lost 42 pounds and it is a slow go but I figure loosing is better than gaining no doubt.Protein shakes and crystal light are my life lines.Food is okay but I describe it like a rock has fallen in and it wont go out.It goes out but boy its painful.Have a great day ~Laura~
