What vitamins are you all taking?
I take Optisource chewables. They are a complete bariatric vitamin with everything a bypass patient needs. They taste pretty good and you can get them at Walgreens. My surgeon carries them for a few dollars less. I have the darndest time remembering to take them all. I also take an iron suppliment (Feosol carbonyl) cause my periods are so hard and long. I just buy that at WalFart.
Go Mayers!!

I take:
After breakfast: 1 Flinstone Chewable Vitamin, 1 iron pill
After lunch: 1 Flintstone
After Dinner: 1 tblsp. Liquid Calcium by Tropical Oasis (which has 600 mg CaCitrate)
Night Snack: 1 tbsp. Liquid Calcium (other 600 of Calcium Citrate)
I used to use the Twin Lab Chewables but got so tired of chewing those big things. They are bigger than a half dollar and so sweet to me. Instead I take the liquid. It doesn't taste wonderful but I drink it like a shot and it's over and done with. Woo hoo!
That's it. I was using the Optisource 4 times a day and that's all. They are specifically made for bariatric patients and total the 1200 mg of Calcium we need but my nutrionists told me to stop taking it because the Calcium did not come in the form of Citrate. I was bummed because that's all I had to take and they were small, chewable and tasted like a mini orangesicle. Oh well.
Good luck.
Well I am a bit late at posting, I have been catching up with my message boards.
I take 8 Vistavitamins throughout the day. My iron sup in the AM and my Calcium Sup in the evening. I swallow all of those and haven't had much problem.
I also take my heart med (Zebeta) and Ambien in the Evening.
I squeeze my Wellbutrin and Topamax during the day wherever I can.
This was a very interesting post. Thanks.
When I first get up, I take 1/2 Vinate (surgeon prescribed prenatal vitamin), Actigall, Prevacid and 1 TBSP liquid calcium citrate.
Mid-afternoon, I take 500mg chewable C, 500mcg sublingual B12
Before bed, it's the other half of the Vinate, another Actigall and one more TBSP of liquid calcium citrate.
This is the regimen the surgeon and nutritionist recommended, and I have my first set of labs done the week before my 3 month appt. (8-24), so we'll see then how it's working.
