I get them at Vitamin Shoppe. They really are the easiest part for me.

You can get the Twinlabs at Vitaminshoppe but I ordered them online since hubby and I go through so many of them! I bought a bunch (10 jars) from vitacost.com at about $6 a bottle of 60. Shipping is a flat fee so I felt good ordering a whole bunch for one $5-6 shipping fee. Kathy

Getting the schedule right is difficult! After breakfast I take a CVS store brand chewable multi w/iron (their version of Centrum Chewable, in a decent orange flavor), a cod liver oil capsule (my surgeon's suggestion for additional Vitamin A & D), and a Trader Joe 1000mcg sublingual B-12 (dirt cheap and dissolves rapidly). After dinner, I take a second multi plus my hypertension meds. At bedtime, I take my thyroid med (Armour). Right now I'm not taking a calcium supplement, because I get a good amount of it in my diet (I usually drink two glasses of milk a day, one as a protein shake and the other as an afternoon snack). Calcium interferes with the thyroid med as well as the iron, so I do the milk thing in the afternoon. I really need the milk calories!

Do you take the Cod Liver Oil because your levels were low? Or is it for a precaution? Why did the doc prescribe to ya? Just wondering ... hugs to ya ... Terrylyn

My surgeon has all his patients take the cod liver oil capsules. I didn't ask why, I just swallow the darn things. They're pretty cheap - CVS has several different brands at $4 to $5.50 for 100, and lots of half-price sales. The cost of supplements has been much lower than I feared, thank goodness.

calcium interferes with thyroid medication? I take a thyroid medication every morning first thing along with a stool softener, then wait an hour and then have a protein shake for breakfast. I take a multivitamin with just a sip of water before lunch. At night after dinner i have 2 viactiv calcuim chews( which i didnt know we were suppose to have the calcium citrate instead of carbonate). I get monthly B-12 injections from PCP. candy

Calcium interferes with the absorption of hypothyroid meds (like Synthroid and Armor). So does iron. And calcium interferes with iron absorption. Allow at least two hours between a calcium dose and an iron dose, or a calcium dose and a thyroid dose, or an iron dose and a thyroid dose. It's a pain in the neck...

Yep, calcium citrate is the one for post-ops. Kathy
