How long???

This is one rule I totally cheat on. I get too thirsty to wait so I just drink when I want. I know it might stretch my pouch but I need the water. Jane

I also cheat on this. I only cheat when I am at work. My job is talking on the phone so I am always sipping and drinking when I can to keep my voice clear. When I first returned to work I tried the 30min before and after and I would start to cough and get scratchy. If I cough when talking on the phone I can get a formal warning, and get two or three of those and youre fired. So I traded cheating for my job. Also for my evening meal and on weekends I always pay attention and wait the time.

I was told 30 before and 30 after. Sometimes just waiting that 30 minutes is an eternity, LOL! I was drinking a galon of water a day pre-op so it's had for me to not drink that much now. I get in about 64 oz/day now. Still not enough in my book. K - off to get a big glass of water!! Michelle
