I'm losing my hair! It's happening!
I'm losing my hair, too. I, like you, have very thick hair, with the exception of right in the front, middle of my head (above my forehead). Because of the thick hair, I've usually lost quite a bit like when I comb my hair after a shower, but lately it's been a lot more. Like double. I'm almost 3 months out and this is about the time they say it starts. I've been pretty good about getting all of my protein in everyday, but that doesn't always prevent it, though.

Julie,
Ok I think your my twin in another state! My hair has been thinning too! My friend told me to use Vitamin E oil, you buy the caplets and put a small hole in it then put it on your head. Its very sticky and gross but she swears by it. I have not done it enough to see if it works or not but you could give that a try!
Good Luck!

I noticed about a month post-op that I was losing twice as much hair in the shower and on my brush as I used to. Then about a month ago I noticed it increased to about 3 times as much falling out. I got the GNC hair skin and nails too. It was $20 for I think 2 months. Now its falling out just a little more than it was before surgery. FYI: I have almost waist length hair. I also do little things that I think help as well: I only bru**** after I shower and use a leave in conditioner before brushing; if I wear my hair down its only during work or when I am out socially; when I wear my hair up I put it in a bun, not just a ponytail, I feel that if its secured there will be less chance that it will be tugged and tugged out. I thought I saw the biotin suppliments at Walmart before surgery too. I havent had time to look for them again, but before I run out of what I have I will be getting those. $10 a month on just 1 vitamin is a bit much. Hope this helps!
