Holey Moley, Batman! That's awesome! And I thought I was doing great with 49.5 lbs to goal. Scale envy. Weight loss envy. You've lost really, really quickly. 60 lbs in 2.5 months. Wowzers. My numbers are similar to yours but I haven't lost so much. How much exercise to you do and what are you eating. How about protein etc. I'm glad for your success. Jane

Jane, I exercise 4 times a week average, swim, treadmill and weights. As far as eating that is a bit of a stuggle tying to get in all the protein...food just does not taste very good anymore so the interest is not there. I don't have trouble with any foods it's just the taste is gone. Patti

Patti, Please email me. I exercise twice a day at the gym. Started at 228 on June 1st. As of this date 7/22/05 I have only lost 33 pounds. When I complete the form located at http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/postopplanner.phtml it informs me that I should lose 20 pounds june 1-July 1 and then another 20 pounds July 1- August 1. I did fine the first month, but this month have only lost 10 pounds and we are more than halfway through the month! I am waaay behind. I exercise at the gym and swim as well. According to the digital readouts on the machines I spend about 600 - 800 calories a day. This doesn't include the pilates I do once/twice a week or the swimming I do! The amount of food I eat is about 600-800 calories according to my records. Fairly balanced on protein and carbs, but find the fats are high. I eat salmon. (But I thought those fats were "good" fats) WHY can't I lose more than 10 pounds??? What weeks did you find were your slowest? Everyone has a slowdown period, when was yours? As far as the protein goes, I eat. I don't drink the protein. I will add a half a scoop to cottage cheese if I need to, but mostly my intake of protein is from simply eating the right choices in food. What are you doing?

Pat Sears, My goodness I think it is possible that the reason the scale is not showing much of a weight loss is because you are probably building muscle with all that exercise. (that is a good thing). Good job. Jane

Wonderful news!! What's your new BMI now? I love seeing mine go down and down. I think I have about 10 or more pounds to go to be just overweight. I can't wait.
