Ok we always talk about our Protein but lets talk about our daily workouts May babies! I was told to cut down by my Dr. So I see him this Thursday & pray I can start my Personal Trainer SOON!! I walk 2-3 miles a day. & 3-5 days a week do 10-12 laps in pool & 30 minutes of water aerobics. I can't wait to start weight training again & get this tummy flat!

WHOA!!! Slow down, you're making the rest of us look bad! Seriously, I work out 5-6 days a week. I take two Pilates classes a week, and walk about two miles on the treadmill the other days. Lately I've been really using the incline function on the treadmill. I read an article on Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas and she says that her (fantastic) butt can be attributed to walking at a slow speed and high incline. I've been doing it for about two weeks now, and my butt really does look better! Oh, I do a basic full body workout after the treadmill on my non-Pilates days. All I keep thinking about when I'm sweating away is how major the surgery was, and how I owe it to myself to do EVERYTHING I can to make it work. I'm working hard at making daily exercise as much of a reflex as my vitamins, water and protein. Dr. S. did his part, now I have to do mine, right? Crossing my fingers that you'll get your personal trainer! Tiffany S. 328/313/269 (finally off the plateau!!!)/150?

Slow sleep and high incline... that's what I've been doing on the treadmill, too. I can definitely walk longer with that combination than with a higher speed and no incline. After my next surgeon appointment (July 29), I'll be cleared to do strength training that involves the ab area. Ugh, that means no more excuses to avoid crunches.

I do about 30 minutes of beginner level aerobics every-other day and I use my Ab-Doer every other day. Trying to work my way to up doing it every day and adding in some strength training.

I walk for about 45 minutes in the mall 4-5 times a week. Every night I do crunches, legs exercises for my inner thighs and arm work with weights. So far the body is looking pretty good and I do not have any excess skin. I was reading somewhere that if your are 30 or under and haven't been obese your entire life and not more than 100 pounds overweight your skin has the elasticity to avoid being saggy. A friend was very obese her entire life, had the surgery at 27 and has a lot of excess skin. She was also over 200 pounds overweight; however, at 180 she looks amazing, just hates her excess skin. I think any of us will trade in saggy skin for the weight loss though...I'm just hoping that maybe I can escape. Doing what I can to help myself. Keep up the good work. I think I'm going to try the slow walking uphill on the treadmill though. I would love Fergie's butt! ooo la la la

I have been exceptionally bad at exercise! I admit it. Maybe once/week I will go out for a 30 minute walk but that's about it. I was so good for so long and then I just quit! I'm tired a lot and I know that if I exercised it would help. Sigh.... And, my weight loss has really slowed down quite a bit and again - I know that exercise would help. Michelle 340/279/175

I've just gotten into exercise and boy can I tell a difference in my weight loss. I'm walking 2 miles, 5 days a week....I'm aiming for a 15 minute mile but I haven't gotten there yet. I've just recently added 10 minutes of cycling. I want to run a marathon in the spring so I'm getting started on my training. I would have NEVER done this type of exercise and enjoyed like I have if I was still 280 lbs. Thank God for this surgery!!!

Jeeze, you all make me look bad! I work out with my trainer twice a week. She works me really hard, all weight training and abs but let me tell you, those twice a week meetings leave me SO EXHAUSTED that i feel like I am never caught up! I am really starting to wonder if there is something wrong. I know I am mildly anemic and I am supposed to be taking liquid iron but I am so scared as I know it can RUIN your teeth. I have been told many times to take it thru a straw but I cant use straws yet. But honestly, I have been anemic before and it never effected me physically like this before. So I am not sure that this is anemia, but my blood work 3 weeks ago came back fine, and I go again in 2 weeks. OK, I have rambled on enough here. Time to get back to the gym and ignore the sleepy bug! Ellen
