I have had issues with getting in my protein, especially since I have just had my 3rd EGD and have had to start over from liquids. My friend has been using the Carb milk with Carnation instant breakfast, the milk alone has 12 grams of protein in a 8oz serving and its low carb! I also discovered a new protein powder MLO Vegetable Protein, its has 17 grams of protein in 2 tbsp, it is tastless so you can add it to anything and its low carb. At a recent support group meeting I was told to make sure its absorbable, this says it meets or exceeds the US Gov standards set by the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Sccore (PDCAAS) not sure if thats good but sounds like it! Any one else have any good protein finds? Cary

Hey there! Another May 11th baby! I've also had 3 EGDs and had to start over with liquids each time. I was having trouble getting my protein in too. I ordered some samples online so I could try the ones that are raved about most on the main messageboard. I got some unflavored Unjury, which is pretty decent mixed with Rasberry Ice Crystal Lite. I'm going to try another of the sample packets with some SF pudding. The samples came with various recipe ideas. I'm not allowed to put fruits and stuff in my shakes (per my surgery coordinator...no smoothies!), but she said CL is fine. Today, I mixed the Nectar Iced Tea protein with CL Lemonade, and it was really drinkable! It tastes like sweetened lemon sun tea. I've heard that Nectar isn't AS absorbable as some other brands (like Isopure...of which I have at least one pre-mixed bottle per day), but the STRICT surgery coordinator has said Nectar's a good brand, so I'll take her at her word...
