Endoscopy & dilitation
Glad you are doing better. It won't be bad the next time if there is one - they have on my chart that I need a lot more sedative. After the fact I have thought that it was funny because I have a strange feeling the people in that room didn't know what had hit them. LOL Somebody was saying give her more sedative, someone else was saying take deep breaths and someone else was saying just relax while I was heaving up my "g***! Life is always interesting for me - I make it a comedy act for my husband and son. Smile.
Hi Syb,
I had my surger May 11th and just had my 3rd EGD this past Wednesday, I have to say I did not have the same problem, I was out for all three. My first one I was pretty much completely closed (the doctor told my mom the opening was smaller than a gnats a** in a wind storm). I never felt a thing and only had a mild sore throat after the first one. My doctor told me the "silver lining" to this was people like us who have this problem tend to have a smaller opening and are usually more successfull! I hope he is right! The starting over from liquids again does suck, but hey I am getting real good at the stages now!
Good luck!
Cary
Pretty much except the first week after surgery I haven't been on anything but liquids. I am looking forward to some food some day soon. I am so hungry - I am going to have to fight my urges to eat everything in sight when I can stomach something beside, jello, chicken soup, juice and water. I sure hope that I don't have to have this done three times!!!!!

I hope you dont need it more than once either! If you are still on liquids I can tell you somthing I discovered this time around, I mix a can of condensed tomato soup with one can of carb milk (its high in protein 12g per 8oz) I then add 2tbs of my MLO veg protein powder (17g of protein) but any flavorless protein powder would work. I mix it all up with a whisk and then seperate it into two servings. It tastes great and its high in protein too!
