Endoscopy & dilitation
Well, - yesterday ---- finally I was able to have an endoscopy. Guess what they told me - "you won't remember a thing!" Well, I probably wouldn't have had it just been the endoscopy; however, I was strictured closed and when they started to dilitate - God help us all - I remember someone saying give her more sedatives - but it was too late then. It was awful- absolutely awful. I don't mean to scare the next person that has it done because as a general rule you don't remember. From what they said I was so closed off they could not get the narrow little tube through - so they dilated me twice. I feel like I have had rotor - rooter "ahold" of me. I am so sore from the back of my neck all the way down. Clear liquids and rest for me and hopefully by the time I go for the cancer work up on Monday I will be ready for another round of test and more test. Isn't this journey exciting. This way I don't have to worry about protein or much of anything else for a few days - just keeping myself hydrated!!!!!!!

Well, there is nothing very dull or boring about my life. I am sure that if that room wasn't soundproof someone must have thought I was having a baby. There is one thing for sure the plumbing is working now - all the way from the top to the very bottom. If you know what I mean. Too bad I can't set my computer up at the commode!!!!! Need a notebook!
It will go better - I have to believe that. Do you think after my test on Monday it will be okay for me to go have a lean steak and baked potato and some steamed veggies - don't think I am quite ready for that, but I am at least craving and hungry - that is a good sign; however, on second thought - it might have been best for me never to have gotten hungry!!!!!!!!! Well, I guess I didn't even know you by your picture - looking good girlfriend. Yes I am always showing off; however, I honestly would have preferred not to have shown off yesterday. I thought big deal - an endoscopy; however, wasn't planning on them killing me attempting to get that stoma open enough for my pouch to empty. I heaved and hoed!!!!!!! It was real exciting - too bad the two of you couldn't have been outside the room --- or better yet a mouse in the room watching me make a fool out of myself. Monday - a PET Scan, to locate the exact location of any more tumors, a load of lab work, a diet consult, a full-body CT Scan and then the appointment with the hematologist. And it is suppose to be hottier than well a hot place here the next few days - guess it is a good place to be laid up in a cool air-conditioned house. Smile! Giggle! After Monday is over I am going to hearty. Sybil.
