Do you all throw up every day??
No. When I had a stricture, I threw up everyday, and when I first started solids I threw up a lot, so my surgeon put me on two liquid/one solid meal per day.
It works. I dunno why you would be throwing up soup , unless it had something in it you can't tolerate, you ate too much, or you have a stricture. But then, I'm no doctor.
Good luck!
Well the wierd thing is, I had it for lunch, and I didn't get sick... so I warmed the left overs for dinner, but it only took 35 mins and it came up. I probably ate it too fast or didn't chew well enough? I'm not getting in enough water or food as it is... so I'm pretty worried about the stuff I'm losing.

Shannon I have found in some kind of cruel twist of fate...now that I cant eat a whole meal in one sitting my stomach doesn't tolerate reheated foods very well....so no leftovers for me....and there for awhile I really did throw up every day. I didn't have a stricture but I had to take a real good look at myself and how fast I was eating and how well I was or wasn't chewing my food and I usually found the reason for being sick... just my 2 cents worth
Hi Shannon!!!
I just had a three day bug/flu.......went to the ER because I lost alot of fluids and just to be safe (by order of the surgeon). I guess I say this because when we lose our nutrition it could be anything! If you keep trying differnent things (chewing more thoroughly, not eating leftover, etc) and it doesnt help, always check with your doc.
I hope you start feeling better soon honey! Let us know how you are doing!!!

I had surgery two days before you. Like you, I haven't had any problems with anything. But last Saturday I threw up for the first time - it was horrible, such chest pain! I'm pretty sure it is because I had noodles with my dinner, and I may have eaten too fast. They went down way too easy. It really has me watching what I am doing more closely now. I never want to feel that again.
Sorry to hear about your lost meal a day! I had on very strange reheated food day but haven't had one again (also haven't eaten reheated food again).
According to another board, some people who are many years out do have 'picky pouch' days where their pouch just acts funny with foods they normally eat.
What does your doctor say?
Try to get in those fluids daily. Good luck to you sweetie!
Your not alone there Shannon. I was throwing up on a daily basis. I found no leftovers for me. I seem to never be able to tolerate the food a second time being cooked. I haven't gotten sick in about a week...YEAH...but then I have only been eating the same thing everyday that I know won't make me sick... My doctor said stick to what makes you not feel sick. It's boring.
Good luck to you in this new adventure. I hope you find things soon that will agree with you!

P.S. Hang in there, I here it gets better. Be on the safe side and check in with your doctor though...
