Water gulping?

I started out tentatively sipping my water, but now I'm back to drinking normally. I do tend to get distracted and gulp somtimes, but it really doesn't afftect me! Becky 5/17/05 Minus 52.5lbs!!

Ana, I have many of times GULPED my water and let me tell you! It aint GOOD! IT hurst like crazy,I have to stay still untill it all goes down little by little, I keep forgetting not to gulp but since I started to excercise I get thirsty. I dont know if the no gulping rule will be for ever but i sure hope not. Rosie

What I've been able to do is take in a good size mouthfull, just about what I would before surgery, and I get it down in 2 or 3 swallows. I have taken a big before and it did hurt. As far as taking pills I take in about 1 swallow in my mouth tip my head back put the pill in my mouth wait till it setteles at the back of my throat and then at the same time I will move my head down and swallow. If I dont the coordination right on the last part I will gag and the pill will come back up and I'll have to start over again. For the gelcap pills its easier because they slide right down. P.S. all of my larger hard pills are cut in half. Once I can go a week without having one come back up I'll try taking them whole.
