No more stricture!
Well, I had an unnecessary, expensive EGD today (my third since surgery), just to find out that the reason I'm not able to keep solids down is NOT because my stricture is acting up again, but rather, because I am finally at the stage of figuring out what I can and cannot eat, and how I should/shouldn't eat it.
It was really embarrassing to find that I had sounded a false alarm when I was unable to hold food down.
However, it's nice to know I'm finally getting on track with everyone else who seem to have been on solids forever (I'm eight weeks out).
My surgeon wants me on two liquid meals and one solid meal for possibly up to the 6 month mark.
Humph. I guess he's the boss, but that's gonna be really really sucky.
At least I get to eat some!
Thanks for listening!
Julie

Julie, Better to know than to wonder. I too have gone through that stage where my body does not like stuff. I have been on solids since the 2nd week out. Taking one day at a time and letting tomorrow worry about itself and leaving yesterday behind seems to help.
Congrats on being able to eat solid foods.. Try one at a time to see what your pouch likes. I have named my pouch oscar because he is such a grouch at times.
Good luck to you,
Kat
