Fill Later Today

Have any of you had your first fill yet? I'm scheduled for this afternoon and am scared to death!

Carry, Lap Banders have a reservior implanted under their skin that the Dr can fill with saline to close the ring around their stomachs. This restricts their pouch size and slows their digestion... It can take a few fills to get the tightness correct (or so I'm told)... I'm a RNYer like yourself. Kate Z

I had my first fill on June 28. A piece of cake. They will add a few cc's to tighten your band. Takes just a few seconds. Get a quick novacaine if you want. Good luck!
