1. I am 8 weeks post op. 2. Since about week 5, I've been on "anything you can tolerate. Pr5otein first. Cut small, chew well." The only thing I can't really tolerate is bread - sticks like a lump of clay. 3. I have a cast iron pouch. I can handle anything. But occasionally I eat too fast or too much. Then - OUCH! Joe D. Hi Heather: I'm 6 weeks post-op and on solid food phase (finally !!!). As of today I've lost 25 pounds. Fortunately, or unfortunately, nothing I've ever eaten has made me sick. The only problem I've had was eating too quickly once and that made me . I always have sf popsicles, creamsicles and fudgsicles in the freezer for a quick "sweet" snack. 1. How many weeks post op are you? 8 weeks tomorrow 2. What stage of diet has your doctor got you on? If you are not on solid foods yet, when do you expect to be released to eat solids? I'm on solids now, with some restrictions. 3. What has been your favorite new pouch friendly food so far? Fruit! I love fruit! Not only does it go down easily, it also is helping me with the constipation I was experiencing.
