Not losing much weight
I'm right there with you, Jane, and all!
I had my surgery on May 5th and the first 5 weeks I had dropped 37 lbs. Well, now it's 8 weeks and I'm still down that same 37 lbs. I am uping the protein and water and doing more exercise and just hanging on for dear life!! After all, what else can I do?
I think that the most frustrating part is when well meaning friends and relatives ask about my progress and I have to say that I'm still holding the initial weight reduction. I do find that this board is VERY encouraging and I'm trying to remember that we all reduce at different rates. I've put my scale under the sink in the bathroom--out of sight, out of mind sort of thinking!
Hang in there folks!! WE WILL MAKE IT!!!

Well, I just posted the same thing on the main board. I have only lost 24lbs. I have been expericiencing extreme fatique so I have not been exercising. I am really praying for energy so that I can exercise more. I know that I have to increase my protein and water, I am trying, but I'm starting to feel that "old failure mentality" of losing weight. However, it is encouraging to know that I am not alone. I have to try to stay encouraged alone with everyone else!
It is hard when some one asks how much weight you have lost and you don't have any new weight loss. Some one asked me and I said only 25 pounds so far..it had been 7 weeks at that time and she looked at me and said, " That's rediculous to have surgery for only 25 pounds you should have just dieted!" I didn't even respond.
