Hello
I had surgery on May 9th and have lost 53 pounds. I'm new to this site, and glad to know that there are others out there like me. I haven't had too much trouble other than an occasional vomitting episode because I didn't listen to my stomach and trying to find an iron supplement that doesn't constipate me. Overall it's been an ok experience. I wish I'd done it sooner. I can't wait to be able to play softball again and get out on the tennis courts.
Hiya, Janet!
Welcome to the site. Have you checked out the main messageboard? It's way more active than even this one. You get responses within a couple of minutes of posting.
I love the May babies too.
My surgery was 5/11/2005. I'm down 65 pounds (started at 391).
I had one complication (a stricture), which seems to be under control now. I'm not on an iron supplement yet (but I probably should be). I just take 2 multi-vitamins in the morning, calcium at night, and a weekly sublinguel B-12. Hmm....I'll have to ask about the iron at tomorrow's check up.
I'm enjoying the ability to be more active, and I have a ton of things I want to do!
Janet, welcome to the May Message Board. Congratulations on your 53 pounds. Don't forget to post also on the "How much have we lost" message down below all the posts. We tallied how much all may babies have lost and are inching close the the 2000 pound marker! I can't believe all together we've lost that much weight.
Good luck with your future weight loss. Oh, I love softball too!
