Bowel Movements NOT daily???

Before surgery I was going like 3-5 times a day since surgery I go 2-3 times a day and the poo has better form now. Everyone is different my ex boyfriend used to eat all the time but he only had bowel movement every 2-3 days. His doctor said he was fine so as long as your doctor isn't worried I wouldn't worry either.

Tambra, That sounds about right. My doctor stated prior to surgery that it would not be uncommon for the first several months while eating very little to anticipate a bowel movement every 3 days. I was truly excited to hear about this, since I was overly regular. I use to go after every meal and then add at least 2 more to that. I use to wonder why I was so big when I pooped so much. Now I go about once a day, which is fine with me. I get stressed when I go one day without, then I have to remind myself what the doctor said, "3 days is normal". ---Sabrina

I've only gone 5 times since surgery and I'm 7 weeks out! The constipation is driving me nuts. I'm lucky if I go once every 10 days. I talked to the doc about it and he said I can start using metamucil or benefiber. Hopefully it will resolve now that I am on a regular diet.
