Hi Denise, I'm on pureed...most of the time...this is my last week. My dietician said I could try some things here and there if they are moist enough and I chew well. Lucky for me nothing has gotten 'stuck' in my pouch and I have never over done it. B: Oatmeal or cream of wheat made with milk that has 14 g. protein per 8 oz. L: 2-3 oz of tuna salad kit (if i eat it all it's 20 g. protein) D: Broiled fish/tilapia (about 2 1/2 oz) 15-20 g protein I'll usually have at least one protein shake, and one cup of milk The day before I had B: Egg salad L: Left over turkey w/ gravy and a few bites of mashed potatoes D: Baby back ribs made in oven, finished off in grill, tiny bit of bbq sauce (the ribs were extremely tender and moist) Snack: cottage cheese That's a typical day for me. I really try to get in all my proteins from the foods I eat.

Hey Denise, I've been on a reg diet since 1 wk post off, Thank Goodness I never had to do pureed, only soft for the first week. To be honest only during the past 2 weeks have I really been sticking to the program. The first 6 weeks were culture shock, and I had to eat certain foods just to make sure I could still eat them, I was also traveling a a lot, so it was hard. But for the past 2 weeks I've been doing: Breakfast-1 scoop ANYWHEY protein powder with 8oz carb countdown milk Lunch- 1 scoop ANYWHEY in diet iced tea, or in a cup of Wendy's chili. Dinner-normally some type of meat, with a few bites of a veggie or baked potatoe. Snacks-Try to have cheese or nuts, but I do have the occasional oreo, or a few chips. Really trying to eat only 3 meals a day as a form of behavior mod. Eventually I will make it 6 small meals, when I can rely on solid protein.

Hi there! My day usually starts off with a cup of hot tea or coffee. I can't eat anything first thing in the a.m. - She Who Must be Obeyed just doesn't like it. Then for bfast I'll have some sort of protein whether it's 1/2 a protein bar or protein drink. Lunch is usually tuna fish, canned chicken, or something. Lots of times I eat my breakfast around 11 or 12 so I don't eat 'lunch' until around 3. Lots of times I'll have another protein drink between 4 and 6 when I eat dinner. Dinner is usually a frozen meal (about 1/4 to 1/3 of it) or whatever I've made for my family or tuna or chicken. A later snack will usually consist of some sort of cheese and/or crackers. Sometimes some deli turkey or ham. If I didn't have my protein drink between l and d, I'll have one later in the evening.

Thanks for responding. I have read some of the posts in here and my experiences are very different than most. I can eat almost anything except any kind of pork just makes me ill. But I have managed to eat almost anything else, but small portions. I have not had any sugar, don't even dare. Here is my typical day: B = 6oz yogurt or 4 oz oatmeal and 2 oz yogurt. snack = 1/4 cup peanuts or 4 oz applesauce. L = 3oz meat or fish and 3 oz of some side (rice, potatoes, veggie) or 6 oz of some kind of soup. snack = 2 oz yogurt or 1/4 cup peanuts or some fruit or 1 low fat string cheese. D = same as lunch. sometimes I have a sugar free popsicle for a treat at night or if I am hungry I have a couple saltines with some peanut butter on them. I don't know if this is too much but I am losing ok (54 lbs since surgery) and the doc says I am doing great. I have had a couple times where I ate too fast or too much and just had to chill out and walk or relax. Once I ate some meat and evidently didn't chew it enough and everything came up. But that is it. I know I will come to a slow down eventually and I am not looking forward to that. I will definately need some support during that period. Denise

You can go to www.fitday.com and enter your food and info into it and it will give you a breakdown of fat, carbs, protein, and calories for the day. I usually use that to keep track of my intake. It's been super helpful!!
