Clarification.....

Let me just clarify a little and I aplogize for not making this more clear. The past couple days I've been reading many different boards and have seen a lot of "scolding" and "yelling" going on back and forth about certain topics, for example, Well I wouldn't have done that if I were you, only being 1 week out etc....or What are you doing eating.......when you're only 4 weeks post op? Sorry, but to me that isn't supporting someone that's just making them feel worse by kicking them while they're down. The situation with Brandi was just "the icing on the cake" so to speak and my post wasn't specifically meant for this board, I meant to post it on the Main Board and did after I realized I had posted it here. I'm sorry if I upset anyone, it was not my intention. I should have been more clear, Sorry. Angie

I think the one thing about all the typing you do (email/posting/etc) is that it's hard to 'read' the sound of voices. I know I have read emails from my sister that I thought were harsh and she had no clue why I was angry with her, lol. She always clarifies that her 'voice' wasn't speaking in such a manner. I also think people post what they might initially feel and it comes out the wrong way. Long ago I posted something, and I received a response I felt wasn't so supportive but the rest were wonderful so I chose to just ignore it. We all need to do whatever we can to support each other in whatever way we can. We also need to be sensitive to the fact that all surgeons have extremely different directions for their patients. My doc is rather strict on how long I stay on our stages and what I can eat. It amazes me how many different things people can eat that I am not allowed but I can't judge them...they are following their directions. I can only live vicariously through them and wish I could be tasting those things too, lol. This is a wonderful board and I'm glad I have it. Let's all try to stay positive and remember to encourage each other and lift each other up. We could all use the good vibes to continue shedding those pounds! We all have the same goals I think: be healthier, drop those pounds, live life to the fullest!

Ana- You're so right! Thanks for pointing that out for me, I guess I needed to take a step back and take it all in sometimes. I also have to remember that people may have different perspectives on certain things and that's ok too. Thanks so reminding me, I really appreciate it. Angie
