I've tried it three times and dumped each time. I'm a lil disappointed because I love fruit so much. Hopefully I'll be able to eat it when I'm farther along. Anyone Else experience this? Thanks Tracy

What kind of fruit are you trying? Or is it happening with any kind you try? Kathy

I'm not allowed to try fruit of any type for four more weeks.

I've had fruit only in smoothies (other than apple sauce). So far I've had frozen berries and peaches and bananas. OH, I did eat a strawberry yesterday and have had watermelon. I did have a bite of cantaloupe once, too. So I guess I've had fruit quite a bit, LOL! No problems.

Hi Tracy - nope you're not alone. The only fruit I've been able to handle is applesauce and pureed canned peaches (NSA and still rinsed off). Watermelon, apple, and other fruits I've tried have not agreed with me either...not caused dumping, but still not felt well at all.

Hi there. Sorry about the dumping...bummer. I have heard people trying things again weeks or even months later and tolerating them. Maybe you'll have such luck? As for me I've been successful with a fresh peach, peel and pureed. My son, 10 mos. old has this little mesh thing I put food in so he can't swallow big pieces whole. I put fresh fruit it there for him and he gets to suck out the pureed stuff. I know do that with cold grapes and I tolerate them. Good luck!

Try eating the fruit as part of a meal, and only some of the fruit not all. That way the natural sugar is diluted with what you eat, especially if there is alot of fiber in your meal.

Actually fruit is one of the few things I CAN tolerate. Well, I've had a few slivers of apples, watermelon and catalope. It's probably the sugar in them that is making you get sick. Have you tried fruit baby food? I sometimes eat Gerber Stage 3 fruit and they sit just fine.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I have tried peach baby food with 2 grms of sugar - felt miserable for two days. One bite of canteloupe - dumped. One pureed strawberry - dumped and one bite of watermelon - dumped. I had the watermelon and the strawberry as part of a meal. I'll try again when I'm at the three month mar****il then if I want something sweet and fruity, I'll have a sf popsickle or sf jello. Hugs, Tracy
