Can't Grocery Shop
Yesterday I tried to go buy groceries for my family and was unable to buy anything. Without feeling hungry and having absolutely nothing appetizing to me I just walked up and down the isles without direction!
Luckily my 7 yo daughter was with me so we did come out of the store wih 4 bags of Fritos for her and her dad! They were on sale!
I bought a pre cooked roast and just had to heat it up in the microwave. My husband is just gunna have to write things on a list so I can buy what we need or maybe we need to go shopping together.
I have never not been able to grocery shop. I spent so much time reading labels it was unbelievable.
Anyone else having trouble shopping for the family?

I'm having the same problem except that I find myself trying to feed my family. I buy all the stuff they like so I can watch them eat and enjoy. It's kinda sick I think but I get enjoyment out of watching other people eat. Also, I don't prepare meals the way I used to. I'm so concerned with the meat of the meal that the rest of it is just sort of forgotten.

I do have trouble shopping! It's just me and my husband - no kids. I wander through the store and come out with little or nothing. I have asked him for help/ideas, he's not a fussy eater so he doesn't care. I guess I need to focus on making a shopping list during the week - so I know what I am going for.
My problem for the longest time was getting tremendously depressed going through the grocery. I kept looking at everything going, "I can't eat that. And, I can't eat that...and I can't eat that..." and would just be sad. Now that I'm eating pretty much anything, it's not too bad, but it was hard for quite a while post-op.
