Good for you! Ours is this weekend and I know it'll be a little bit of a challenge, but I'm hoping all my newfound energy will keep me outta trouble chasing the kids around and I won't have time to be tempted... I know at the very minimum, there will be grilled chicken there, but beyond that, I think that's really all I'll be trying...

That's what I ate at our company picnic...chicken and two pieces of American cheese. It worked for me! Kathy

Isn't it great? I went to a kid's birthday party today and they had a cook out and FOUR cakes (it was for 2 kids and they got a free cake with each cake they bought - so...). I had about 1/2 of a grilled chicken breast, 2 potatoes from a type of potato salad made with red wine vinegar, shallots, and spices (VERY good), and about 5 tiny pasta shells. I even cut up the cake and served it up with the ice cream - wasn't even tempted to lick my fingers. BUT- I did enjoy the cake I started scooping the frosting up around the edge of the cake cardboard and flinging it at a friend and then I took the last piece of the cake that I was cutting up and smooshed it all in my friend's face. We got into a bit of a cake fight, but I was clean afterwards My friend and another couple of people there knew I'd had the surgery (one girl has actually had it, too) and she said, "Well, even if you can't eat the cake, at least you enjoyed your piece of it!" and I did!
