Hi all my May brothers & sisters just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I am 3 weeks & 3 days out, feeling really good other then tired. Having some trouble getting all my protein in went yesterday & bought some Isopure zero carb creamy vanilla, just made my first shake & it is really good so maybe this will help. Walking 30 minutes everyday not cleared for anything else yet, I have had a couple minor set backs Infection where pen rose drain was all that packing the incision was no fun but am now done with that, Life is good. I feel so fortunate to have been given this gift to help me get back to a normal size. Hope everyone is healthy & happy. Hugs Brenda

Hi Brenda, I feel great! As of Monday, I am down 38.5#! I have had no complications and the only challenge has been eating slowly now that I am on full solids. Take care, J

Howdy May babies! The scale is headed downward again, finally, after being stalled since the end of May. Inch loss continued during the stall, though, so I'm content. I'm getting my base protein from food now, but still have a daily Nectar shake. Just picked up a trio of size 24 cropped pants from eBay - they won't fit right now, but should fit in a couple weeks. I can get 24s on but not quite zipped yet... couldn't even get them on three weeks ago! Hmm, I'm picking up the Spanx Power Panties this weekend, I might be able to get those 24s on after all.

Hi Brenda, I am glad to here that you are doing so well. I am doing okay at 5 weeks out, but I can't wait to talk to my nutrionist tomorrow. I had my first WOW moment on Sunday, I actually wear a 1x dress and only a little over a month ago I was wearing a 3x - 4x. I just need to stay positive. Keep me in your prayers. Andrea

Hi everyone ~ happy to hear most of us are doing well. I am doing pretty good too. I am down 25 lbs in 4 wks and am starting to feel it in my clothes. I am walking about a mile 3-5 times a week. My major source of protien is still the shakes. Haven't had much problem with feeling hungry but sometimes I fall into my afternoon head hunger problem. I usually do a water load and that makes me full to last till my next meal but does not help the head hunger much. Late afternoon was always my VERY hard period. Good luck and God Bless to all of you, Bethannie

I'm doing very well. I'm down 69 lbs. overall, and 47 lbs. since surgery. I was on the last hole of my pants belt pre-op. Now, I've gone through all the holes, drilled 2 more, and the thing's almost still too big now! I'm still on pureed (well, I'm "supposed" to be on pureed ****il Tuesday, then I flip to solid food again and I can start eating more things. I'm struggling with doing the eating and drinking during the day. I'm so busy during the day with the phone, e-mail, meetings, clients, etc. that I can hardly get the protein and liquids in. I am not getting much protein from my meals, but that should change once I can start eating solid food. Incisions have healed well. Have had no physical complications at all.

It sounds wonderful that everyone is doing so well with the weight reduction. I too have lost #27 and have given up my size 26 and 3X uniforms. I have not been able to get into my 24 jeans and zip them, but I will. I have had to give up on my rings as they were falling off every time I washed my hands. Very bitter sweet as I lost my husband one year ago (he was 39 and had sudden cardiac death, also obese) and I was still wearing his wedding band. This is the first time I have taken it off. I have replaced my rings with size 7-8 rings that were my grandmothers. Keep the positive flowing and I will pray every day we all get through this exactly the way we planned.

I am now 7 weeks out and have lost just over 42.5 pounds through the lap band surgery. I was one of the first four women in my area to have the lap band performed. I am proud to say that we are all doing fantastic. I have an exercise support group at my house every tuesday evening and will probably be starting up another one on thursdays. Even though I have lost 42.5 since surgery I still have a lot more to go and right now my rewards are being able to put clothes on that I haven't worn in years. It's like buying a new wardrobe. I love it. I'm proud of everyone and their weight loss. Keep Loosen My Friends Cathy (Skinny Minnie)
