Superfoods

I forgot to mention in my last post as to why I was adding recipes from the "Superfoods Rx" book. Before my surgery, I was very afraid (and still am) of not getting the proper nutrition. I've known several people to end up in the hospital with potassium problems, hydration problems and calcium absorption problems since they have had WLS. A friend brought me this book. It is great. It lists the 14 foods that are packed with nutrition. Beans, blueberries, broccoli, oats, oranges, pumpkin, salmon, soy, spinach, tea (green or black), tomatoes, turkey, walnuts, yogurt. I love all these foods, so I've decided to try and include them as much as possible into each of my eating phases. Today, I just moved to soft/pureed foods...anyway, that is my plan. My weight loss has been slow, but, I feel confident, I'm getting good nutrition. Lori

What a fantastic list! Thank you, Lori - I like all of those foods, too! I'm going to try to make sure to get at least some of them in everyday.
