Is anybody else's pee really, really dark yellow ALL the time since surgery? It matters not whether I drink all day or have a bad day getting my liquids in, my urine is very dark all the time. Is this normal?

Tom, Do you take a vitamin B complex? If so, that is what is doing it. It has usually tumeric or something like that in it. Coloring. Kathy

Tom, As long as your peeing at least 4 cups a day, you shouldn't worry. (as long as there is no burning) Depending on what multivitamins your taking they can cause your urine to be many different colors. (bright yellow, tinge of neon yellow green, orange, brownish orange) Tom I asked this same questions years ago when my doctor started having me take a multivitamin supplement. My doctor even told me it can cause it to have a different odor. Not that I ever went and smelled my urine. --Sabrina

Thanks...I feel better. I'm on 2 Flintstones chewables and one B-12 every day. That explains it.

Yep - orangy color pee! I take 2 calcium, centrum, and iron every day (which makes the other 'relief' a nice pine green color!) and B-12 (5000 mcg) 2x week.

I started my vitamins 2 months before my surgery and I noticed then the color change. I'm glad I started them while I was waiting for a surgery date otherwise I would be worried also!
