Sitting here waiting for Aunt Flo to make her appearance. I have a 26-28 day cycle and I'm sitting here at day 35 waiting. Had my last cycle the week before my surgery. Oh, I've felt the pinches and twinges. I know it's coming but man oh man...get here already! Bleeck! Kathy

Oh Kathy, funny you should mention this. I have been amenoria (without the cycle) for 2 years. Knew it was due to my weight. Two days after WLS I picked up where I left off and did not stop for two weeks. This is my first week FREE!!!!! Guess I can't have it all but it was sure nice not to have to worry about it especially during the summer as I am a big swimmer and suntan goer

I was on my cycle a week before my surgery. THEN when I got home from the hospital I started again and went for 2 weeks. Thank god but I am finally done. It was horrible !

I got some mid-cycle spotting a week after surgery but now...still waiting. The hormones that are trapped in our fat cells get released and can screw things up for quite a while from what I understand. Not looking forward to it. And my husband really isn't looking forward to it more than me! LOL! Kathy

Same here Kathy. I have always been pretty regular and I was due a week before surgery and nerves kept it away. Thank Goodness I wasnt on it during surgery. One week after getting home HELLO!!!! She was back with a vengeance. Now here I am a week late again and crampy but yet nothing. Chylene 290/258/145

I'm with all of you... waiting. Last had it 2 days after surgery (May16) and it was a very short and light one.

Yep, I'm waiting too!! I'm a clockworks kinda gal, every 28-29 days. I was due the week before surgery but things just stopped...probably nerves and stress about surgery. Now I'm waiting again. Same thing as you: feeling sort of crampy and weird but alas, no visit. I had a 5 week check up and that's the first thing my surgeon asked, "How's your cycle??" He said it's my body stressing from the quick weight loss and it could be abnormal for months. Let's all relax and just wait...lol.

My cycles have been regular for the past two years. My first post-op cycle arrived 4 weeks after the previous one (as usual) and lasted four days (as usual). So far so good...

I started the week after surgery (which was a week early for me) and then had two weeks off and got another one (which lasted 7 days). It's been 2 weeks since, and I'm hoping I don't get another one soon, but it feels like I may be. I go see my surgeon next week, so I REALLY hope it's not when I go see him - don't want any bloating when I weigh in!!

I didn't have a cycle unless I was on birth control, so when I had to take my patch off for my surgery, that was my last one. I started back on my patch last Friday and I started today. I felt like I had been whacked in the tummy with a 2x4. I am still hurting like mad! Had to take some Lortab, it was so bad. ONce I get back on schedule I think it'll be better, but this first cycle is killing me!!
