39 lbs in 6 weeks

Maybe I am just frustrated becasue everyone tells me they can see in my face that I have lost and I cant. I am so used to looking at my chubby face that it still looks chubby. My jeans are a tad bit looser but I am no where near going down a size yet. I had the surgery on May 2nd and I really dont feel any different than I did before the surgery. My body just went through a major change so why dont I feel any different than I did before surgery. I am eating alot less but I am almost feeling like I never had anything done, then I look at my incision scars.

I had surgery the same day you did...I haven't lost as much as you have....32 pounds.....and no where near a new size in clothes...course I think that's cause I was trying to stuff myself into clothes that were too small for me. My clothes actually fit now....and some of them are getting a lil bit loose....give yourself time and be patient...I try to tell myself I dont feel any different either but the minute I try to eat something my new grouchy pouchy doesn't like I sure KNOW I feel different...and my pouch has been a grouch...(thinks about namin it oscar) I can hardly eat any more now than I could the first week home from surgery. Nothing sits well..I'm stuck with yogurt, cottage cheese, and mashed taters.....sooooooooo we'll see what the DR tells me next time I see him

Well, I guess I will jump on the soap box here. My surgery was May 16th and I have lost only 23-25 lbs. I know I am not getting in the protein because every kind/type I have tried so far makes me gag! I'm not quite at 64ozs of water a day, either. Have I just answered my own problem? I really need help with protein suggestions. I try to have protein in each meal, but of course that's not enough. Help!!!!!

For my protein, I try tojust eat lots of meat and eggs. For lunch at work, I bought a package of deli meat. 5 slices is 10 grams of protein so I will try to eat that around lunch everyday. It takes me quite a while but I do get it down. Then I also have an Advantedge Protein Bar which has around 20 grams of protein in it, Then I will have maybe try to have an egg at night. Carnation Instant Breakfast is just a powder drink that you put milk in and it has 4 grams of protein in it. I try to have that for breakfast. I have a hard time counting all my protein during the day but I also try to eat only things that have nutritional value on it so i know how much protein is in each serving. I hope this helps. If anyone else has any suggestions on getting more protein in, please let me know as well. Thanks
