I had a second Enoscopy last Friday. Had one the Thursday, the week before, before that, as well. Tonight, I tried a chicken breast and within 20 minutes I threw it back up. I know I chewed it enough, since I wanted to avoid any issues and I anyway. I don't get it? What is wrong with me?????????????????????????????? Why can't I eat?? Liquids and watermelon stay down ok. Not much else sits good. I wrote the whole thing here in my 6 week update: http://www.epinions.com/content_4402028676 I'm hoping no one has a fit about outside linking, but it's long and I am exhausted. I hate to just copy and paste it all. I haven't been able to sleep as insomnia ha**** again, which is why I am sitting here at 3am. My doctor is supposed to call Mon or Tues. I hope it's just my pouch having a fit and not something else.

Was the chicken breast very, very moist? Did you put gravy or sauce on it? Some folks have trouble with meats especially chicken and beef. Are you pureeing your foods or chewing it? Be sure to way, way overchew your food into a paste. Have you tried other foods? What about refried beans? Cottage cheese? Kathy

Yeah, I had sauce on it. It still wouldn't stay down. I chewed it until it was mush. Didn't help. I ate some watermelon earlier tonight and almost threw it up. Made a mad dash for the bathroom. Ate some cheese not long ago and it isn't setting well, either. Milk is even upsetting my stomach tonight. I have been nursing on a bottle of apple juice and it isn't sitting good, either, but is staying down as long as I drink in super small sips. I don't know what is going on.

Unfortunately you may still be having stoma issues. Be sure to call your doc! Best wishes, Kathy

Thanks. My doctor is supposed to call tomorrow. Not looking forward to that conversation, either. I hope and pray I don't have to do the scope a third time. I know I'm gonna bawl. I feel like a baby, but I'm getting scared and worried. I can't stomach even milk and apple juice very well anymore. Chicken makes me sick. I had 1/2 of a deviled egg and spent the next 45 minutes trying to decide if I should run to the bathroom. Emotionally I'm a wreck. My period isn't helping, the horomones and all, but this is getting old. I just wanna cry. I knew there could be complications, but I guess I wanted to believe that "it won't happen to me".

Try liquid Benadryl for the insomnia. The medical community has deemed it completely safe and non-addictive. I use it every night. Works like a charm!!! Gina

Thanks. My son has 2 1/2 days left of school and then he is home for the summer. I need to get some sleep. LOL I have some Melatonin, but I keep forgetting to ask my doctor if it's ok to take.

I'm having a HORRID time keeping anything down too.....but I keep plugging away at the cottage cheese, yogurt, and mashed taters....(OSCAR) My Grouchy Pouch and I have had many heart to hearts...and nothing seems to work....I've had a bad time with protein powders and drinks too...upset OSCAR something fierce...been working on getting protien in other ways...not getting enough but close...and I'm trying some new powders shortly so hopefully that'll get easier. Not eating food really doesn't bother me as I'm still not hungry..what bothers me is not getting my protien in....so hopefully Oscar likes some of these new powders..cause if he doesn't I'm gonna take him to the Principal (DR) and get him in trouble..or find out if this is normal.....well other than naming my pouch (cause I'm sure that's slightly abnormal...but Oscar just fit lol

Good luck! Mine isn't listening to me, either! You would THINK your body would cooperate, wouldn't ya? After all of the bruises I have from last time I had to go in for the scope procedure, I would think my body would listen to what is good for it, but nooooooooooooo. Like a stubborn child it has to rebel. My doctor is supposed to call tomorrow. I know he is gonna be upset that I haven't been getting my protein or liquids in, but what am I supposed to do?

Smoothie King and soups are all I can consistantly do. I experiment but I've had so many BAD experiences I have become less and less interested in trying anything new. Chicken broth ALWAYS settles me down. the Smoothies are a bit pricey, but I must say that all the money I was spending on new protein drinks that I couldn't use, buying the smoothies is actually cheaper. I LOVE them, there is tons of variety and I get 45 grams of protein in 20oz. If I get too full or just tired of it, I put in the frig. for later. Just pick your flavor and then ask them to add "GLADIATOR" protein to it!
